Currently, NiViM is working closely with the following Government departments and organisations :

​

  • Forest Department - for evaluation of work done by Joint Forest Management Committee (JFMC) under FDA and strengthening the capacity of stakeholders participated in JFMC. A project of National Afforestation Programme(NAP) under NAEB, Govt. of India and Wildlife wing of forest dept. for conservation practices and awareness about wildlife to avoid man-animal conflict outside the protected area of Vidarbha.

  • DRDA - to help the formation and promotion of SHG (Self Help Group) of the BPL (Below Poverty Line) members of the community under SGSY (Suvarn Jayanti Gramin Swarojgar Yojana).
     

  • Education Department - for implementation of syllabus on environment education through teachers training programs and popularization of basic principles of science-based on syllabus through very special activity of Science at your door step.
     

  • Social Forestry - for National Green Corps (NGC) scheme of the dept of Environment & Forest (Govt. of India).
     

  • State Agriculture Department - for Soil, Moisture conservation (SMC) to develop local varieties of crops, promotion of organic farming to sustainable agricultural practices and awareness for action about water recharging (harvesting), livestock management as an allied business of rural stakeholder to secure their livelihood based on agriculture.
     

  • Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) - for conservation of lakes, wells and waste management during traditional festival.
     

  • Zila Parishad (Nagpur & Bhandara) - in Jalswaraj project for capacity building of villagers for pure water, sanitation and women empowerment through training and interaction workshops.
     

  • Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) - for awareness and action campaign about sound, air and water pollution amongst school students in particular and common masses in general.
     

  • Police department - for selection of best and eco-friendly Ganeshotsav celebration group.
     

  • NABARD (National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development) - for promotion and linkages of SHG to self employment of women and farmers by formation of Farmers' Clubs (FC) for the promotion of organic farming for sustainable agricultural practices.
     

  • MHRD - for Environmental Orientation to School education (EOSE) and inculcation of Educational Values in Human (EHV) scheme amongst students in schools.
     

  • Water Supply & Sanitation Department - for training the village level staff & stakeholders.
     

  • Health Department - for adolescent education to prevent them from ill habits / addictions and inculcating personal health, hygiene amongst the rural and poor, needy urban areas community.
     

  • Food & Drug Administration(FDA) - for implementation of COTPA (Cigarette and Other Tobacco Product Act-2003) make Tobacco free schools by formation of ATAAC (Anti Tobacco awareness and Action Campaign) clubs in the schools.
     

  • Tribal department - for the participation of tribal community by provision of solar fencing around farms to protection from nuisance of wild life(particularly herbivores) to the crops.
     

  • Jalsampada Vibhag Govt.of Maharashtra - for digging and widening of natural streams (Nallah) to aquifer recharge for use of water in agriculture and to quench the thirst of stray animals and strangers during water scarcity in summer.
